Mission Made Message

  • Box with a Mission

"We never want to lose that. The intentionality behind our products is what makes us who we are. That's why each time your Mission Made Subscription Box finds its way to you; it will feel different. Because it is."
  • Reflections on Haiti

Three years ago I arrived in Haiti for the first time with no knowledge of the crazy path God was about to take me on. It was on that trip that I first met 13 incredible children and the incredible Haiti Awake staff who would become people I consider my family and closest friends.
  • Connections that Count

At Mission Made Gifts we truly believe that relationships matter. Our vision since the start has been about creating jobs, restoring hope, and empowering people, and we believe that the best way to do that is to develop meaningful relationships. Each year the Mission Made team packs up suitcases of jewelry and other artisan items to attend the Excel 401(k) Conference in Las Vegas. Alongside our partners with Rekon Intelligence, we are able to share the Mission Made story and provide conference attendees and members of the financial industry an opportunity to learn about how they can approach client gift gifting with a purposeful and meaningful mindset.
  • Little Moments, Big Beginnings

Each of our Mission Made trips to Haiti have been alongside Haiti Awake, and during that time we have been able to grow in our relationships with the staff the local community. Haiti Awake is an incredible organization that works to “equip local Christians to reach their communities and their own country through showing Christ’s love in action.” We quickly realized that we didn’t need to create, start, or manage anything, we simply needed to allow our Haitian friends to use their knowledge and skills to make an impact within their own community.
  • Mission Made Artisans

The saying "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." is something that Mission Made has built our foundation upon and it reigns even truer in our newest venture.
  • What is Beauty?

I had the opportunity to go to Haiti for the first time with an incredible team. As a photographer, I am always chomping at the bit to go to new places and capture things I have never seen before. Haiti was going to be an entirely different experience for me because, unlike some other places in the world, I had no expectations of what it would look like. Going into this trip, the only time I had seen pictures of Haiti was after the devastating earthquake that claimed hundreds of thousands of lives. We all remember what the earthquake of that magnitude did to this country, and that image is what I had in my head when our plane landed in Port-au-Prince.
  • Knowing what I know, what will I do?

A sweet friend recently gave me a life-changing book. Have you ever had a book shake you at the core and make you reconsider your entire life? This was one of those. In Visions of Vocation by Steven Garber he looks at something I have stumbled with for some time now, is it possible to know the world and still love the world?

Over and over he asks, “knowing what I know, what will I do?”.

  • Artisan Partner, Beljoy

The story of Beljoy. Told by, the founder of Beljoy, Abby Clevenger.

My husband's family has had relationships in Haiti for over 40 years. He grew up going to Haiti and fell in love with the people. When he came back from a trip in 2014, he felt a strong burden to create opportunities for the Haitian people by providing them jobs and helping them become self sustaining.

  • My Journey with Mission Made

The summer before my last semester of college I decided that I wanted to gain more experience in the field of marketing. Being a Psychology major, I was unsure if anyone would hire me. One day I came across a social media and marketing internship with Mission Made Jewelry. After researching the organization and learning more about their mission, I decided I would apply. Little did I know that I would soon start an internship that instantly touched my heart.
  • Beyond the mountains, more mountains.

The Mission Made team was incredibly blessed to be a part of another incredible trip to Haiti alongside our friends at Haiti Awake this past June. Our Executive Director, Kaitlyn Hopfer, wrote about her experience in Haiti and the incredible things that she did on her trip through our Mission Made network.

  • Executive Director, Kaitlyn Hopfer, Heads To Haiti!

In 5 short days I will be heading to Haiti with a team to spend time with our friends at Haiti Awake. There are tons of opportunities to go on short term trips to Haiti alongside various organizations but Mission Made partners directly with Haiti Awake because they provide us with the incredible opportunity to work alongside Haitians, encouraging long-term mutually beneficial relationships.
