What is Mission Made Jewelry?

Mission Made Jewelry, a non-profit organization headquartered in Wilmington, NC, was founded with the purpose of helping people around the world who are impacted by extreme poverty. Our goal is to address both the causes and effects of poverty by providing sustainable jobs through the sale of hand-crafted products and providing funds to organizations that help to fight the effects of poverty.

What type of organizations does Mission Made Jewelry support?

The organizations we partner with also fight the effects of global poverty in developing countries. Examples include Tiny Hands, who combats human-trafficking and sex slavery, and runs orphanages in South East Asia. Another, Papillion Enterprises in Haiti, provides vocational training and dignified jobs.

Who can host a Mission Made Fundraiser?

Any group or organization can host a Mission Made Fundraiser. Just submit an application, and Mission Made will review and follow up with you promptly. We typically work with service-oriented groups, including church youth groups, or school sponsored groups such as Interact (Rotary), Key Club (Kiwanis), Student Councils, or Fraternities and Sororities. Each sponsoring group has the option to designate a portion of the proceeds for their own organization or local charity of their choice.

Is there a cost?

There is no cost to host a Mission Made fundraiser. All expenses are paid from the proceeds of the sale. Any unsold jewelry is simply returned to Mission Made headquarters in Wilmington, NC.

What kind of support does Mission Made offer to those hosting a fundraiser?

Our projects are designed to be turn-key. Mission Made provides everything you need, including step-by-step procedures and marketing materials. We begin with a 1-hour, kick-off call via Skype or FaceTime. Your project manager, will walk you through the entire process and answer all of your questions. Ongoing support is provided during and after the fundraiser.

How are the proceeds used?

Mission Made purchases all products up front. Meaning, artisans are paid before products are sold by your group. The proceeds fund the artisans, Mission Made Jewelry, and an additional charity. Meaning, 100% of the proceeds are used to impact the world!

How do I know Mission Made is credible?

Mission Made is a volunteer-led, 501(c)3, non-profit organization created and funded by the team at Rekon Intelligence, a subsidiary of the Marino Group. The Rekon team has a strong belief in social entrepreneurship and started this venture as a way to give back on a global scale. Rekon employs a team of interns from their local college, The University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) in order to effectively manage Mission Made fundraiser projects. All product manufacturers and charity organizations whom we partner with are thoroughly vetted.
