Staff Feature: Hudson Louis

You may be wondering, who are some of the people behind Mission Made Jewelry? Today we want to feature Hudson Louis, a key staff member who has been with us since the start.

Hudson Louis is Mission Made Jewelry’s hand stamper, in charge of stamping all of the washer necklaces, bar necklaces, pendants and whatever else needs to be hand stamped. His talent does not stop there, Hudson also knows how to screen print and takes most of our photos over in Haiti! In addition to his craft, he oversees Mission Made Jewelry operations in Haiti.

Hudson has been around since the very beginning of Haiti Awake almost 8 years ago, and he met the founder Becky Graves in June of 2013. Becky and he have an ongoing joke that Ground Director Steeve Derard wants to know what the letters MSF stands for, which will only be kept between Becky and Hudson…sorry Steeve!

In his free time, Hudson likes to watch anime and movies, read, and exercise. His favorite thing about Haiti is just about everything! He loves the beach and the food, especially Griyo, bannan peze ak pikliz which is fried pork and fried plantain with pikliz. He recommends that if one is to visit Haiti they need to see La Citadelle La Ferriere at Cap-Haitian, which is one of the wonders of the world.

On behalf of Mission Made Jewelry we would like to give thanks to Hudson for all his hard work and contribution to this company. We are excited to see what the future holds for all of us with Hudson in it.
